Surron Ultra Bee Brakes, Big Brake Kits and Rotor Upgrades

Ultra Bee brake parts and complete brake upgrades for the Surron Ultra Bee. The Ultra Bee leaves the factory with a single caliper on a stock rotor, and it runs out of brake long before it runs out of power. Every part on this page is here to fix that: 270mm big brake kits, thicker stainless rotors, copper sintered pads, pre bled foot brake kits, OEM replacement calipers, master cylinders and braided lines.

All of it bolts to a stock Ultra Bee. No frame mods, no adapters you have to source yourself.

Why the stock Ultra Bee brake runs out

  • One caliper, one rotor. The stock setup has a single caliper working a stock diameter rotor. On long descents and repeat hard stops the rotor soaks heat faster than it can shed it, and lever feel goes long.
  • Pad material. Stock pads glaze under sustained heat. Copper sintered pads hold their bite through the same abuse and recover faster between stops.
  • No foot brake. The Ultra Bee ships hand brake only. A foot brake gives you a second, independent circuit on the rear and frees your right hand for throttle control.

Ultra Bee Big Brake Kits

Ultra Bee Big Brake Kit: 270mm x 3.5mm rotor, and the bracket runs two OEM Surron Ultra Bee calipers or two Stark Varg calipers. This is the largest brake package we build for the Ultra Bee.

Ultra Bee 270mm Rotor Upgrade: 270mm 304 stainless rotor, 12 percent larger in diameter than stock and 6 percent thicker. More surface area and more mass means better heat dissipation and more consistent grab.

Ultra Bee Dual Caliper Bracket: The bracket that lets you run a second caliper on the rear. Available in black or silver.

Ultra Bee Brake Pads, Rotors and Lines

Ultra Bee Brake Pads: 100 percent copper sintered. Consistent bite hot or cold, and they hold up where organic pads glaze.

Ultra Bee Braided Brake Line: Steel braided line. Removes the swell you get from rubber hose under pressure, which is where most of the soft lever feel comes from.

Ultra Bee Foot Brake Kits

Ultra Bee Foot Brake Kit: Ships pre bled with MOTUL DOT 5.1. Bolt it on and ride, no bleeding on your garage floor.

YZ250 Foot Brake Master Cylinder: The master cylinder for riders building a foot brake from parts, or replacing one.

OEM Ultra Bee Brake Replacements

Ultra Bee Rear Brake Caliper OEM: Direct OEM replacement for a damaged or seized rear caliper.

Ultra Bee Rear Brake Assembly: Complete rear assembly when you would rather replace the whole circuit than rebuild it.

What is the best brake upgrade for a Surron Ultra Bee?

The 270mm Big Brake Kit. It combines the largest rotor we make for the Ultra Bee with a bracket that runs two calipers, which is the single biggest jump in stopping power available on the platform. If you are on a budget, the 270mm rotor and copper sintered pads on the stock caliper is the cheapest meaningful gain.

Will Ultra Bee brakes fit a Surron Light Bee?

The OEM Ultra Bee caliper is the caliper used in our Light Bee moto brake conversions, so the caliper carries over. Rotors and brackets are model specific. See Surron Brakes for the Light Bee fitment.

Does the Ultra Bee come with a foot brake?

No. The Ultra Bee ships hand brake only. Our foot brake kit adds one, and it ships pre bled.

What brake fluid does the Ultra Bee use?

Our foot brake kits ship pre bled with MOTUL DOT 5.1.

Do I need to bleed these before fitting?

Not on the pre bled kits. Follow the bleeding guide if you open the circuit or top it up later.
