Ultra Bee Brake Kits for Surron, Talaria and Eride Pro

An Ultra Bee brake kit, also called a Moto Brake kit, puts the Surron Ultra Bee caliper on a Light Bee, Talaria or Eride Pro in place of the bicycle brake those bikes ship with. Every kit on this page is complete: caliper, bracket, steel braided brake line, rotor where the kit needs one, and a pre bled circuit so it bolts on and rides.

Why swap to the Ultra Bee caliper

  • Moto sized pistons. The stock Light Bee, Talaria and Eride Pro calipers are mountain bike parts. The Ultra Bee caliper was built for a heavier, faster bike and clamps a larger pad.
  • DOT fluid, not mineral oil. Stock systems run mineral oil that boils under repeat hard stops. These kits run DOT 5.1 and stay firm.
  • Larger rotor. The rear kits move you to a 240mm rotor. More diameter is more leverage and more mass to soak heat.
  • Pre bled. Each kit ships filled and bled. No bleeding on the garage floor before your first ride.

Rear Ultra Bee brake kits

Dual Caliper Rear Brake Kit: Two Ultra Bee calipers on one 240mm rotor. The most stopping power we build for the Light Bee, Talaria and Eride Pro SS rear.

Single Caliper Rear Brake Kit: One Ultra Bee caliper on the 240mm rotor. Lighter and cheaper, still a large step over stock.

Each foot brake kit adds a second, independent rear circuit worked by your foot. Mounting is model specific, so choose your bike.

Is a Moto Brake kit the same as an Ultra Bee brake kit?

Yes. Moto Brake kit is the older name for the same conversion: the Surron Ultra Bee caliper fitted to a Light Bee, Talaria or Eride Pro. Riders now mostly call it an Ultra Bee brake kit. Same caliper, same bracket, same rotor.

Which Ultra Bee brake kit is best for a Surron Light Bee?

The dual caliper rear kit if you want the most brake. The single caliper rear kit if you want most of the gain at less cost and weight. Add the front kit once the rear is done.

Will these fit a Talaria or Eride Pro?

The rear and front hand brake kits fit Surron Light Bee, Talaria and Eride Pro with the same parts. Foot brake kits are model specific, so pick the one listed for your bike.

Do I need to bleed the kit before fitting?

No. Every kit ships pre bled. Bleed only if you open the circuit, shorten a line, or top it up later.

Dual caliper or single caliper?

Dual is for riders who brake hard and often, or ride heavier. Single is plenty for most trail and street riding and is easier to keep pads in.

Can I run front and rear kits together?

Yes, and most riders end up there. Upgrading only the rear moves the weak point to the front.
